Got a feeling that social media has created a new kind of pseudo-admiration
culture.Depending on ur profile ur friends list also extends. I doubt that all
these facebook friends would not have been friends even if they had
got a chance to be together. And those admiration and liking's for all silly
matters....... may be i am out of sync with the facebook/social
media culture.Trust and faith are the two things that i miss out in the
facebook.
There are some side effects of being a social media 'addict'. Instead of cherishing
a wonderful moment, we r more concerned about capturing that moment and
present it before the facebook 'friends'. we completely miss the essence of
that moment.i am afraid that it impacts our behaviour too. We go to the extent of
manipulating our real personality so that it can be made
more presentable to others. In the process we start expecting admiration for
whatever we do. of course we ignore the value of social
interaction. sometimes we ignore some courteous behaviour also. The list goes on and on....
May be i should quit from facebook rather than complaining. And i convey it via blogging!!!!
